We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage! The room was great value for money, with a comfortable bed and a modern, spacious shower. The location was perfect, nestled down a quiet lane with beautiful green fields around. The staff, Sophie and Dan, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. They even left a light on for us and salted the decking when it snowed. Plus, they were more than happy to let my sister visit. it felt like a cozy home away from home!
Food for breakfast could have been better - an extra roll of paper towels would have been helpful. Although I'm sure Sophie would have provided it if we had asked.

Slightly firm mattress.

The cottage was pristine and well-maintained, offering a cozy and relaxing environment. the fully equipped kitchen was a great advantage for self-catering, allowing us to prepare our own meals during our romantic escape.
The comfort of the bed was not up to our preference. We found the mattress to be too firm for our liking, which affected our quality of sleep.

The room at Fig Cottage was absolutely amazing! It had a cozy king-size bed that made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. The private bathroom was stunning, with a refreshing rainfall shower that left me feeling invigorated. It was the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I prefer a bathtub instead of just a rainfall shower, but that's just my preference. Others might still enjoy it.

Loved the fully equipped kitchen, perfect for my Nespresso addiction. The outdoor seating area had beautiful garden views, where I enjoyed sipping my coffee. Plus, with free WiFi and private parking, I could stay connected while exploring the countryside.
Oh, just one thing - who needs a gym when you can go cycling and hiking all day? But hey, at least I burned off those extra scones!
